A man hosting a real estate webinar.

Hosting a real estate webinar or workshop is one of the best ways to generate leads and build trust with potential clients.

But these results will not happen automatically. You鈥檒l need a thorough understanding of your audience and a solid strategy to make your webinar truly successful.

If you鈥檝e been thinking about running a webinar but don鈥檛 know where to start, or perhaps your previous attempts haven鈥檛 worked out, you鈥檙e probably looking for a reliable real estate webinar blueprint.

That鈥檚 exactly what we鈥檒l share in this article. We鈥檒l break it all down for you in eight easy-to-follow steps. Let鈥檚 dive in!

Why Host a Real Estate Webinar?

There are many real estate marketing ideas, but very few are as effective as webinars.

Webinars can position you as an expert in your field. When you share valuable insights or market trends, people start to see you as the go-to professional they can trust. Building marketing capital this way can be invaluable even if no one buys anything right away.

Webinars are an excellent tool for reaching professionals in various sectors, such as real estate agents, investors, and even looking to expand their networks and improve industry knowledge.

Webinars are also great for lead generation. Every person who signs up gives you their email and other details, allowing you to add them to your lead pipeline. Just be sure to get their consent to receive marketing communications from you to stay compliant with data privacy laws.

Finally, webinars are much more budget friendly than in-person events. They allow you to reach an unlimited audience at little or no cost.

To reap these benefits, however, you must have a solid strategy. In the next section, we鈥檒l cover the tried and proven step-by-step approach to planning real estate webinars.

Eight Steps to Host a Successful Real Estate Webinar

Here are the steps you need to take to run a successful real estate webinar from beginning to end:

Step 1: Set Clear Goals

First things first, you鈥檒l need to be clear about your goals. Are you hoping to attract new clients? Or maybe you want to establish yourself as the go-to expert in your local market?

Focusing on what you want to achieve will guide every other part of your webinar, from choosing a topic to selecting channels for promotion.

Step 2: Identify Your Target Audience

Once you鈥檙e clear on your goals, the next step is developing clarity on your target audience. Who are you trying to reach? First-time homebuyers? Sellers worried about getting top dollar? Investors looking for the next big opportunity?

Once you know who you鈥檙e talking to, you can create messaging that speaks directly to them. For example, a webinar titled “How to Buy Your First Home Without Breaking the Bank” is going to attract first-time buyers, while “Top Tips for Selling Fast in a Slow Market” will grab the attention of homeowners looking to sell.

If you focus on your audience and their needs, they鈥檒l show up and over time, they鈥檒l likely commit to doing business with you.

Step 3: Pick a Topic That Gets People to Say, “I Need This!”

Your webinar will be a chance to really wow your clients. Set the pace by picking a topic that makes people say, 鈥淚 need to know this!鈥

These could be things like common mistakes to avoid before investing in real estate, or current market forecasts and trends, and how they affect them.

For example, your target audience may be people who are interested in purchasing a home but may be struggling with debt. A webinar providing education on is sure to be a hit with this crowd.

If you can deliver real, actionable value, people will not only show up, but they鈥檒l remember and trust you.

Step 4: Get the Word Out

You could plan the best webinar in the world, but if nobody knows about it, there鈥檚 no point.

Start promoting early and often. Send out targeted emails, post on social media, and personally invite people you think would benefit.

Speaking on for attracting audiences to real estate events, Mary Beck, Realtor庐 at 皇冠体育app shares, 鈥淚 personally have partnered with the YMCA in my hometown, which has a huge Senior Membership. With the YMCA promoting the events, the audience already has trust in them, so it’s nice to be the guest speaker. I advertise my events on Facebook, and in the local newspaper.鈥

Here鈥檚 one creative idea that usually works: consider creating with your logo, slogan, or event name. You can wear these during your webinars or give them away as part of a fun contest to encourage sign-ups and participation. Consider adding a QR code on the back to catch some attention!

Also, think about teaming up with other professionals like mortgage brokers or home inspectors for greater reach.

Step 5: Pick the Right Platform

There鈥檚 nothing worse than having tech issues interrupt your presentation when you鈥檙e live. So, make sure you choose a reliable webinar platform that鈥檚 easy for both you and your attendees to use.

tools are usually a good bet. These platforms let you share your screen, run Q&As, and record the session. Some of them also integrate well with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

Zoom, Google Meet, and GoToWebinar are all good options, but go with what feels right for you and what you鈥檙e comfortable with. More importantly, be sure to pick a platform that your audience will feel comfortable with.

Step 6: Keep People Engaged

During the webinar, be careful not to talk at people. Try to involve them by asking questions or inviting them to drop questions in the chat.

The more engaged they are, the more likely they鈥檒l be to stay to the end and reach out to you afterward. Sharing real stories and examples makes you relatable, and when people see that you get them, they鈥檒l want to work with you.

You can also build in short breaks to keep energy levels up. Even a quick pause to share a fun piece of trivia or education, such as sharing a bit of . Little breaks like this can help keep people listening and make your webinar more memorable.

Step 7: Follow Up

A lot of people put so much effort into their webinars and then do nothing afterwards. That would be a mistake.

Following up is where the real relationship-building happens. Send a thank-you email, share a replay for those who couldn鈥檛 make it, and offer extra resources or a free consultation to keep the conversation going.

You want them to think of you when they鈥檙e ready to act, and that starts with staying in touch.

Step 8: Be Prepared

A great webinar often leads to new client inquiries and partnerships. You can expect to close a few more deals, so it’s important to have business processes in place to manage the increased activity.

This includes using tools like CRM software and to help you stay organized.

Final Thoughts

Running a successful real estate webinar is so much more than just showing up and making a presentation. Webinars are a powerful marketing tool that can position you as a real estate expert.

They鈥檙e also usually a fantastic way to connect with potential clients and build your lead pipelines. But you must do them right. With the tips we鈥檝e shared, you鈥檒l be off to a great start! Rebecca's Homestead in Wantage, New Jersey, and some photos from the renovation.

In a heartwarming collaboration, Habitat for Humanity of Northwest New Jersey teamed up with the popular renovation show, George to the Rescue, to transform an all-purpose gathering space at Rebecca’s Homestead. This project not only provided a multi-functional area for residents but also highlighted the power of community and partnerships in creating meaningful change.

Leading the charge for Habitat for Humanity was Pam Vreeland of 皇冠体育app Exceptional Realtors庐 and a crew of more than a dozen volunteers focused on improving the lives of the adult special needs residents that have made their home at Rebecca鈥檚 Homestead.

About Rebecca鈥檚 Homestead

is in Wantage, New Jersey. Its tagline is appropriately 鈥淲here All Are Welcome Inn.鈥  The goal of the facility and program is 鈥渢o create an inclusive and sustainable community by providing differently abled adults housing and a self-sustaining lifestyle.鈥  Residents of the homestead participate in farming, gardening, art, and other hospitality employment opportunities as part of their daily routines.

Founders Dennis and Michele Elmers created Rebecca鈥檚 Homestead in honor of their daughter, Rebecca, and the friends they met along their journey to access adequate care and programs for disabled adults. Their desire was to create a space that focused on employment training and community and shied away from the traditional sense of a residential facility.

The multi-purpose room at Rebecca's Homestead before the renovation project.

The all-purpose, shared space at Rebecca鈥檚 Homestead is a vital part of the residential community, functioning as a hub for social gatherings, educational programs, and skill-building. However, the room had long needed a makeover to be handicap accessible and better serve its diverse purposes.

Vreeland, Habitat for Humanity Working to Build Communities

Pam Vreeland of 皇冠体育app Exceptional Realtors.

Pam Vreeland has always been more than a real estate professional; she is a community builder at heart- whether within the professional community or various towns in northwest New Jersey. Vreeland has 25 years of experience working as a realtor and with local real estate professionals at the Sussex County Association, where she was named Realtor庐 of the Year in 2023. Additionally, she has headed committees for fundraising for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, coordinated blood drives, and dedicated numerous years to the Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation. Vreeland and her husband also own a farm where they rent part of the farm to offer therapy through animals for mental health, trauma, autism, and special needs.

However, Vreeland says she has found her passion project in Habitat for Humanity. Vreeland initially became involved with Habitat for Humanity after participating in Realtors庐 Care Day, a National Association of REALTORS庐 sponsored community outreach initiative. As part of the program, grants are available to members of the community for home repairs and renovations, and if awarded, are completed with the help of the local Habitat for Humanity chapter.

Vreeland joined as a board member in 2022.  After six months, she became the President of the chapter. The Sussex chapter previously worked with Rebecca鈥檚 Homestead to make repairs to the facility and build new additions for the residents. The chapter鈥檚 previous experience with Rebecca鈥檚 Homestead is how Vreeland and Habitat for Humanity identified the need to remodel the multi-purpose space.

George to the Rescue Steps In

The crew from George to the Rescue conversing during the renovation process.

The renovation project took an exciting turn when , the NBC show known for its heartfelt renovations, joined the effort. Hosted by George Oliphant, the show specializes in turning dreams into reality for deserving individuals and organizations. George and his team were immediately drawn to the story of Rebecca鈥檚 Homestead and the collaborative effort behind the renovation.

The team from George to the Rescue worked tirelessly to reimagine the space. The designers and staff paid careful attention to the needs and preferences of the residents, resulting in a room that would be both functional and welcoming. A crew of twelve members from Habitat for Humanity conducted the renovation work with help from sponsor, .

The vision included:

  • Accessible Design: Several architectural barriers were removed from the room layout, allowing for easy access for residents with mobility issues. Residents in wheelchairs would no longer struggle to enter or exit the space.
  • Adaptable Layouts: Organizational furniture, a mini-kitchenette, and open spaces were incorporated to accommodate various activities, from educational workshops to social and family gatherings.
  • Multi-Functional, Creative Spaces: The team added spaces equipped to manage art projects to encourage creativity and self-expression. The small kitchenette would make it easy to wash art supplies and make snacks.
  • Comfortable Atmosphere: Warm lighting, an upgraded ceiling, new flooring, cozy seating, and inviting d茅cor were added to make the room feel like a place where residents and members of the local community would enjoy their time.

A Labor of Love

The team from George to the Rescue and Habitat for Humanity before getting started on the remodel project at Rebecca's Homestead.

The renovation process was a true labor of love with the Habitat for Humanity team and George鈥檚 crew working side by side. Throughout the process, the spirit of collaboration was palpable. Vreeland鈥檚 leadership and unwavering dedication inspired everyone involved. 鈥淪eeing people come together for a shared purpose was incredible,鈥 she said. 鈥淭his project is proof of the positive things that can come to fruition when we work together as a community, for our community.鈥

The Big Reveal

The big reveal of the remodeled multi-purpose room at Rebecca's Homestead.

The big reveal was a moment of pure joy for residents of Rebecca鈥檚 Homestead, one that the public will be able to enjoy when the episode airs on March X, 2025. As George unveiled the newly renovated space, big smiles and gratitude filled the room. Residents marveled at the thoughtful design and the possibilities the new space offered.

鈥淲hen the renovation of the rec room was done, we took a group photo,鈥 Vreeland explained. 鈥淎s we were posing, one of the residents began to quietly sing 鈥楢mazing Grace.鈥 Normally head down and shy, he made his way over to his aide and his voice became louder. It was a visible and audible representation of how much this means to him, and how connected he is to the community and facilities at Rebecca鈥檚 Homestead. It inspired everyone involved in the project to continue to give their time and energy to changing lives- and we cannot wait for the next opportunity!鈥

People First Mentality

For Vreeland, the reveal was a poignant reminder of why she chose real estate, and why she chose to work under the 皇冠体育app banner. 鈥溁使谔逵齛pp has always emphasized the importance of people over profits,鈥 she said. 鈥淚 originally chose real estate because I had two young children and needed work-life balance. I have been blessed with the support of Doug Radford (Co-owner of 皇冠体育app Exceptional Realtors庐) and Cathy Kut (office manager), who encouraged me to get involved with Habitat. I would never work for anyone else. Between real estate and Habitat for Humanity, I fill my cup by helping those around me.鈥

As of January 2025, the Sussex chapter of Habitat for Humanity merged with Warren County, creating the newly formed Habitat for Humanity of Northwest New Jersey. Together, the group intends to continue to give back to the community and demonstrate the Realtor庐 spirit that shines through Vreeland and her peers.

A Legacy of Hope

A small wooden sign that says "do small things with great love."

The renovated space at Rebecca鈥檚 Homestead stands as a testament to the power of community and collaboration. It is a place where residents can come together, build skills, and create memories for years to come. More importantly, it is a symbol of hope and the belief that everyone deserves a chance to thrive.

Pam Vreeland, Habitat for Humanity of Northwest New Jersey, and George to the Rescue have left an indelible mark on Rebecca鈥檚 Homestead and the surrounding community. It is a shining example of how individuals and organizations can come together to make a difference.

鈥淲e continue to be impressed by Executives such as Pam Vreeland, who have a heart of service,鈥 said Patrick van den Bossche, President of 皇冠体育app International. 鈥淩eal estate starts and ends with communities and the relationships one builds within them. The time spent on renovating the multi-purpose room at Rebecca鈥檚 Homestead may seem like a flash of time in the grand scheme of things, but its impact is exponential. It ties the volunteers, residents, and community together in a common goal where everyone reaps the benefits.鈥 In a world that often feels divided, projects like this remind us of the incredible things we can achieve when we come together. With real estate professionals like Pam Vreeland and organizations like Habitat for Humanity and George to the Rescue leading the charge, the future looks bright for communities everywhere.

Alyssa Muma took on the role of costume contest judge, awarding trophies to the best-dressed individual and team.

Team Effort

鈥淥ur talented team of Executives has been working hard for months to plan the event, secure sponsors, and collect items for our silent auction,鈥 shared Bruce Vinnick. 鈥淎s a family-focused company, we chose to partner with Make-a-Wish to help those in need. They shine a light of hope for children fighting critical illnesses when they need it most, and that is a cause that we can all get behind.鈥

The dedication of the 皇冠体育app Oceanside team was evident in every detail of the event. The Executive Council Team, comprised of REALTORS庐 Iwona Baj, Kathy McEnaney, Marilyn Grum, and Jeanne Nix, played a pivotal role in organizing the event. Monetary donations poured in from those who could not attend, further underscoring the community鈥檚 dedication to granting wishes and bringing joy to children facing unimaginable challenges.

The team extended special thanks to Palm Coast Lanes for hosting the event and providing a venue that perfectly complemented the evening鈥檚 festive atmosphere.

Impacting Lives, One Wish at a Time

Beyond the fun and games, the heart of the evening lay in its purpose: to bring hope and joy to critically ill children. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has long been a beacon of light for families navigating difficult journeys, and 皇冠体育app Oceanside鈥檚 efforts will now help grant three life-changing wishes.

鈥淏ruce and Shannon Vinnick have been hosting events in support of Make-a-Wish since 2004,鈥 said Alysia Heun, Vice President of 皇冠体育app International. 鈥淭hey have service in their hearts, so it is no surprise that 皇冠体育app Oceanside aligns with Make-a-Wish. It has been impressive and inspiring to watch their efforts grow over the years- now granting three wishes to children in need. It is simply amazing.鈥

The Sweet family at Boo-ling for Wishes.

Additionally, the presence of the Sweet family of St. Augustine, Florida, served as a poignant reminder of the tangible impact of these efforts. Seeing firsthand how Make-A-Wish changes lives inspired everyone in attendance to continue supporting this vital cause.

A Message of Gratitude and Hope

The 皇冠体育app Oceanside team expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made the event a success. From sponsors and donors to attendees and volunteers, the collective effort of the community demonstrated the power of unity and compassion.

鈥淭his event reminds us of the incredible strength of our community,鈥 said Shannon Vinnick. 鈥淭ogether, we鈥檝e not only raised funds but also raised spirits, proving that when we come together, we can create magic for those who need it most.鈥

Looking Forward

As the night ended, it was clear that Boo~ling for Wishes had become more than just a fundraiser; it was a celebration of community, generosity, and hope. The 皇冠体育app Oceanside team is already looking forward to next year鈥檚 event, with dreams of making an even bigger impact. The 2nd Annual Boo~ling for Wishes was a resounding success, showing that when a community rallies together, extraordinary things happen. 皇冠体育app Oceanside and its supporters have ensured that three children will have their dreams come true, proving that wishes really do have the power to change lives.

皇冠体育app of Flagstaff, Flagstaff鈥檚 longest running real estate business, has helped thousands of families find a place to call home over the years. But for the company, the commitment to homeownership runs deeper than real estate transactions. The brokerage has fostered a culture of giving back and has been deeply involved with Habitat for Humanity of Northern Arizona for over 25 years.

Getting Started

A sign showing 皇冠体育app of Flagstaff's sponsorship of Habitat for Humanity.
The brokerage has proudly supported Habitat for Humanity for over 25 years.

The brokerage鈥檚 partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Northern Arizona began in 1998 when a client of Wayne McCormick, owner and Designated Broker of 皇冠体育app of Flagstaff, invited him to join the Family Partnership Committee. The following year his wife, Debra McCormick, attended a meeting in his place. This led to Debra joining the committee and later serving as the committee鈥檚 Chairman for two years. Many hours were spent side by side with the local community, hammer and paintbrush in hand, building and improving homes for local families.

After their service with the committee ended, Wayne and Debra continued to support Habitat for Humanity each year through tax credits.

Launching the Realtor鈥檚 Initiative

In 2014, 皇冠体育app of Flagstaff announced a new program in support of the community: The Realtor鈥檚 Initiative. The program encourages 皇冠体育app agents to donate a portion of their commission income from every home sale to Habitat for Humanity of Northern Arizona.聽 Currently 29 of the firm鈥檚 Executives participate in the program, and funds are used to build affordable housing in the local community.聽

鈥淎s a Flagstaff local, I know the struggle that families face when it comes to housing in Flagstaff.聽 That is why I give to Habitat for Humanity via The Realtor鈥檚 Initiative.聽 As a community, we need to do anything we can to help families achieve the American dream, which includes homeownership and a sense of belonging to the community,鈥 said Gary Nelson, Delegated Broker of 皇冠体育app of Flagstaff.

Participation in the program has grown over the years, with nearly $20,000 generated in 2022. The group has donated nearly $11,000 during 2023 and has plans for a December raffle to finish out the year鈥檚 contributions.

The Starter Home Program

In 2022, Habitat for Humanity of Northern Arizona broke ground on a new initiative called the .  This project involves building simple, efficient, stand-alone homes that are available for purchase by low-income families. The organization hopes to complete 50 homes by 2028, which would have a significant impact on Flagstaff鈥檚 housing inventory.

Homebuyers participating in the program purchase the Starter Home with a $1,000 down payment.  The homes are financed with Habitat-funded zero percent interest loans, with the $833 monthly principal payments going to a savings account for the homeowner.  When the homeowner moves out, Habitat for Humanity pays them the principal they have invested during the years occupying the home- roughly $10,000 per year.  This model allows families to build equity savings that can be used when they have outgrown their Starter Home. Habitat for Humanity reserves the right to the property, so another low-income family has the opportunity to purchase the home, ensuring affordable housing remains available.

The first two homes were successfully completed by several community partners, including architects, builders, and students from Coconino Community College. The students were part of The Home Construction Pathway, a two-semester program that provides a robust home construction experience through building Starter Homes. This significantly helped drive down labor and construction costs, two factors that impact housing affordability in Flagstaff.  The homes were built on land donated from the city of Flagstaff鈥檚 Land Trust Program, and 12 more homes are planned in the near future on Flagstaff Unified School District property.  These homes will support teachers and staff in the area.

鈥淎t the core of Habitat for Humanity鈥檚 mission is the belief in providing a hand up rather than a handout.  The Starter Homes offer individuals and families the opportunity to purchase affordable homes, setting the stage for a brighter financial future.  Homeownership, as one of the highest indicators of generational wealth, initiates a ripple effect that extends far beyond the initial homeowner,鈥 explains Kim Geile-Gonzalez, Realtor庐 with 皇冠体育app of Flagstaff. 鈥淚 choose to support Habitat for Humanity both financially and as a board member because I have witnessed the transformative power of affordable homeownership and its profound impact on generational wealth.鈥

A Legacy of Giving

皇冠体育app of Flagstaff sponsored and decorated panels as part of “Framing Flagstaff’s Future.” The panels were used in the construction of the second Starter Home.

With over two decades of community support under their belts, the group at 皇冠体育app of Flagstaff has built a thriving culture of giving.  Over the years they have contributed commission dollars, sponsored studs, decorated framing panels, raffled playhouses, and more. They continuously brave the cold to walk through homes to witness the smiles on the faces of new homeowners. They are interwoven into the community as business owners, residents, and friends. Collectively, they know that their work has just begun.

鈥淚 have been involved with Habitat for Humanity since 2008.  I have painted walls, helped homeowners apply to be accepted into the program, and donated a portion of my commissions.  It is incredibly rewarding to see members of our community strive for and achieve homeownership with a little help from the Flagstaff community around them,鈥 said Tammara Prager, Realtor庐 with the firm. 鈥淲e look forward to continuing our partnership with Habitat and with the Flagstaff community.鈥

This accolade is a testament to Treudt’s unwavering commitment to continually improving local communities through philanthropic efforts.

As part of Treudt鈥檚 recognition, Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS庐 donated $3,000 toward Canine Companions, her charity of choice. Canine Companions aims to train service dogs so that clients and dogs can live with a greater degree of independence.  The group provides service dogs to adults, children, and veterans with disabilities, free of charge.  Additionally, Canine Companions trains facility dogs intended to work in healthcare, criminal justice, or educational settings.

For over a decade, the Good Neighbor Award has been a highly coveted recognition bestowed upon individuals in the Illinois real estate industry who have made significant contributions to improve the livability of the local community.  While many activities are related to real estate and housing, other initiatives such as youth mentoring, crime prevention, and homelessness prevention are considered. Volunteer hours, fundraising, and personal contributions of money, supplies, and other resources are factored into the competition. Three winners are selected and ranked each year, with award amounts associated with each.  The award amounts go directly to the winners鈥 charities of choice.

This year鈥檚 winners were announced during Main Street Association of REALTORS庐’ installation dinner in September.  Treudt was on hand with a dog-in-training to accept the award on stage.

In 2007, her proactive approach and genuine concern for the welfare of others led her to volunteer as a puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence. She served as Vice President of the local chapter and President of the chapter for two years. Treudt is currently raising her 22nd future service dog for Canine Companions. Through her leadership and tireless efforts, she has inspired others to join her cause, creating a ripple effect of kindness and unity in the greater Chicago area.

Inspiring Others to Give Back

It has encouraged many other agents to get involved in a passion project within the community; she is very inspiring. On top of that, we love having the dogs-in-training in the office each day!鈥

Positive Steps Forward

Receiving the Good Neighbor Award not only acknowledges Suzanne Treudt’s remarkable efforts but reminds us all of the profound impact that a single individual can have when driven by a genuine desire to make the world a better place.  Hand in hand with Canine Companions, thousands of lives have been improved with the help of an expertly trained pup and one dedicated realtor.

鈥淚n honoring Suzanne Treudt with the Good Neighbor Award, Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS庐 not only celebrates her exceptional achievements, but also reinforces the importance of community, compassion, and the boundless possibilities that arise when individuals come together for a common purpose,鈥 said Patrick van den Bossche, President of 皇冠体育app International. 鈥淲e are grateful for her leadership and extremely proud to call her an Executive.鈥

Julia Hurley, the founder of the Connect the Knox podcast.

In 2022, the state of Tennessee saw numerous opportunities for growth and development.聽 Recognizing this, Julia Hurley of the Just Homes Group with 皇冠体育app Associates decided to start a podcast called Connect the Knox.聽 Her goal was to connect Knoxville to the rest of the nation.

As a Realtor庐, Hurley has over eight years of experience and 800+ transactions under her belt. She believes that 鈥淎 home is not a home because of its room dimensions or the color of the walls. It is about how you feel when you walk through the front door, and the way you can instantly envision your life unfolding there. It鈥檚 more than just real estate. It is about your life and your dreams.鈥  With this concept in mind, Hurley made it her mission to show the world why Knoxville is a place worth calling home.

Since its inception, the podcast has gained a large following with over 100,000 listeners on platforms such as Tik Tok and Spotify.  She continually works on growing and expanding the audience.

One of the unique aspects of Connect the Knox is the lineup of special guests which include MLB catcher Kole Cottam (a Knoxville resident), UTK Systems鈥 President, Randy Boyd, WWE wrestler and Knox County mayor, Kane, retired MLB catcher Zane Chavez (another Knoxville resident), and retired WWE superstar Ricky the Steamboat Dragon (also a Knoxville resident).

Hurley鈥檚 podcast showcases the best that Knoxville has to offer to both relocating individuals and current residents.  It is just one more innovation in Hurley鈥檚 existing arsenal of technology, market research, and business strategies. It is the vehicle to share information about the city she loves by casting a wide net. Being a hyper-local expert no longer has geographic bounds.

You can find the Connect the Knox podcast on any platform where podcasts are available.  Simply search for 鈥淐onnect the Knox鈥 to start listening and learning about all that Knoxville has to offer.

Bailey Rose and Emily Stevens of 皇冠体育app Associates Downtown Knoxville.

皇冠体育app Associates has opened a downtown office that captures the edgy energy of Knoxville鈥檚 center city.

Realtors Emily Stevens and Bailey Rose are the founders/owners of 皇冠体育app Downtown, located at 323 Union Ave. Both are eager to connect with the downtown community.

鈥淲e鈥檝e got three huge windows, said Stevens. 鈥淲e鈥檙e going to showcase an artist each month and on First Friday, we鈥檒l host an open house with the artist.鈥 In September, for instance, they collaborated with the Knoxville History Center to display photos of Knoxville then and now.

Rose and Stevens use the space as a hybrid office for a business they own with Emilie Stooksbury 鈥 New2Knox.com and Moving2Knox.com.

鈥淲e love Knoxville and we want to help others love our city,鈥 said Rose. 鈥淲e do not say to new home buyers, 鈥楬ere鈥檚 your key; bye.鈥 We want to help new homeowners make friends and find their way around the city.鈥

Their REA website separates listings by area and highlights the special nature of each neighborhood. 鈥淲hether you鈥檙e moving across the country or across the county, we can鈥檛 wait to help you fall more in love with this sweet Scruffy City 鈥 starting with a beautiful place to call home,鈥 said Stevens.

皇冠体育app Downtown is a 鈥減owered brand鈥 offered by REA. Experienced brokers operate their agency under the REA umbrella and gain the benefits of the national brand. 鈥淚 love it,鈥 said Rose. 鈥淭hey create so much community among powered brand owners.鈥

鈥淲hen I first met with Bailey and Emily, it quickly became apparent there was a cultural match with 皇冠体育app and their philosophy of caring for agents well,鈥 said Justin Bailey, chief executive officer of REA.

鈥淲e have been looking at different parts of town to ensure our agents are equipped to service clients in each specific neighborhood. In that effort, we have always felt we were missing a presence downtown. Our agents were doing plenty of business there but we hadn鈥檛 figured out a way to provide them brick and mortar. When Emily and Bailey approached us, it was almost prophetic that they wanted to open a downtown location. The timing, mixed with how well they fit our culture, was just ideal.鈥

The women understand being new to Knoxville. Bailey Rose moved here from Texas in 2019. Emily Stevens came to attend UT and never left. Emilie Stooksbury moved to Knoxville in 2014.

Since opening the downtown office in February 2022, REA Downtown has added four agents and is looking to add another 4-6 by year鈥檚 end, said Rose. Those new agents can live anywhere, by the way.

鈥淚 really believe in them,鈥 said Justin Bailey. 鈥淚 think their hearts are in a great place with their desire to be servant leaders in the community.鈥

Charitable giving has continued to rise among Realtor associations, according to a new report from the National Association of Realtors. The  鈥 CARE 鈥 offers insight into the monetary and volunteer contributions of NAR members, broker-owners and association executives or multiple listing service staff.

  • 66% of Realtors volunteered every month
  • 77% of broker-owners volunteered every month, and
  • Realtors are most likely to have volunteered with food delivery for the elderly or food banks to help with Covid-19, and nearly half volunteer the same as before the onset of the pandemic.

The money was raised in the KAAR鈥檚  golf tournament. KAAR has supported the Backpack Heroes initiative for the past 12 years and donated nearly $200,000 of supplies.

Realtors  cleared over 18,000 pounds of trash and debris from 36 miles of waterways across the state.

Lynda and Loyd Brookshire of Gulf Shores, Alabama. Loyd is dealing with kidney disease.

When Realtor庐 Lynda Brookshire shares her tagline 鈥淟ive your best life at the Alabama Gulf Coast,鈥 she is thinking beyond real estate and relocating to sandy shores. Along with helping clients find their dream home, she is dedicated to letting the community know that health is wealth. Her friends and family tease that 鈥渟he is gonna get you a house or get you a kidney…or both.鈥

Brookshire and her husband, Loyd, moved to Gulf Shores in October 2017.  After a series of health challenges that landed Loyd in the hospital multiple times within a span of two years, Brookshire realized it was her mission to increase awareness for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), organ donation, and the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. She believes sharing their experience can help others give, receive, or maximize the gift of life.

The couple began tackling Loyd鈥檚 kidney disease, believed to be hereditary, head-on from the onset. 鈥淭he heart and the kidneys are like a push and pull- one affects the other.  They鈥檙e vascular organs.  In our case, the doctors didn鈥檛 initially realize that his kidneys were causing the high blood pressure. They treated him for high blood pressure for years instead of finding the root cause.  It was the kidneys all along,鈥 said Brookshire. After a hospitalization in 2018 for kidney bleeding, organ failure and sepsis in December 2019, and another hospitalization for high blood pressure in June 2021, the Brookshires dug in their heels to get answers.

Loyd converted to vegetarian and pescatarian diets in 2019, allowing him to eliminate the need for insulin and other medications, buying him more precious time before entering the waiting list for a transplant. They became hyper-organized with a leather folder, discs, and paper copies of Loyd鈥檚 complete health history.  They visited numerous physicians and nephrologists to learn as much as possible, researched the right questions to ask in advance, and inquired about cutting-edge research related to CKD. Reading about at University of Alabama and at the Cleveland Clinic helped them keep their fingers on the pulse of nephrology. Brookshire recommends that every patient does this type of deep dive so that medical providers 鈥渄on鈥檛 have the chance to say no鈥 while advocating for your personal health or exploring treatment options.

Loyd鈥檚 case, unfortunately, is not rare. According to the , 37 million people in the United States have chronic kidney disease, and 100,000 people are waiting for a kidney transplant. The estimate that as many as 9 in 10 adults with CKD are unaware they have the disease. It鈥檚 more common in those 65 years and older.

Brookshire is leveraging her real estate business to talk to as many people as possible and believes that there is no such thing as an accidental meeting or bad timing. To her, it鈥檚 the opportunity to make someone aware of subjects that are not discussed enough: CKD and overall health.

鈥淧eople should know what being a donor means. You are only able to donate if you are a match, and there is an extensive process to figure that out. Donors can live a healthy life with one kidney and give the gift of life to someone else, so the transplant team goes to great lengths to maximize the chances of a successful transplant,鈥 says Brookshire.

Additionally, Brookshire speaks to the importance of healthy living and self-care for prevention and knowing the right questions to ask when visiting a medical professional. 鈥淚 don鈥檛 know who my information will touch, but I know that it could save someone鈥檚 life,鈥 says Brookshire.

Loyd Brookshire moved to the transplant list at the University of Alabama (UAB) Kidney Transplant Center in April 2022. He awaits his perfect match, along with over . He is maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle to stay off dialysis as long as possible. Brookshire has already named his future kidney 鈥淏illy the Kid(ney)鈥 and is looking forward to the future with Lynda, their adult children, and grandchildren. Finding a living donor is his best option, and there are currently 3 people in line to test for a match. The couple have faith that no matter what the future brings, all will turn out as it should. They are eager to find the person who will 鈥淪hare a Spare.鈥

鈥淚 encourage anyone interested in learning more about CKD or donation to get in contact,鈥 says Brookshire. 鈥淚鈥檓 a real estate agent… I know how to answer the phone day or night!鈥

Could you be someone who could give the gift of life? Contact Lynda at 251-978-4078 or SaltLifeByLynda@gmail.com to discuss the process.
